Thank you all so much for following our progress for the "World Cosplay Summit" 2010 here on our Life Journal.
We are very busy at this point by getting everything ready, not to mention practise our Championship performance!
So no more Life Journals will be up until we'll get back from Japan =(
!..But here is the last and final entry..!
( Take a look at our final cosplays! )

Summer has come to Denmark and at the moment we have a serious heath. 32 degrees.
And for us Danes it's insanely hot!
But still, now we are "warming up" for what's to come in Japan ;)
At this moment I'm finishing up on my "Luke Fon Fabre"cosplay!
He has been a bit of a bother, specially his weird looking jacket, or what you might call it.
Last time I had a bit of an "thin" update of this cosplay, so this time I'll show you a bit more.
Since the last update I've received my eye-contacts, made a huge progress on both jacket, gloves, pants and shoes.

Gosh... (Btw, I still can't figure out LiveJournal.. So sorry for a messy post)
Well, as Lupin wrote earlier we took the Pandora Hearts for try-out at the danish con SVS. Some of my Will of the Abyss costume is now completly destroyed, and is going to be remade as fast as possible, so I can get that costume out of my mind right now.. >.<
As new! I have begun on my Tear Grants cosplay! Woop woop! (Remark "begun" not a very big progress)
I got some kick starting from Ida and Sigge (WCS team Denmark 2009) a day they came by Lupin's and my house for fun and information about the WCS. They gave me some tips and tricks how I could make it. Gosh, those girls are gold.. =3 <3
= BEGINNING TEAR GRANTS!
I hope it will be a good cosplay.. .. .
I honestly think I look like a real bitch on this picture.. X/
WIG
The wig looks very light on these pictures.. T_T IT IS NOT THAT LIGHT! It is actually darker.. It has to get cut.. But that is minor right now. I was very nervous - if the wig was long enough... But I think sister and I have considered that "yes it is." Specially because it took stupid Danish Mail service 14 days to deliver it to us. 14 days! It took the wig 3 days to get from China to Denmark - but then no, no, no - they had to keep it for two weeks.. T_T That's not funny when you reeeaally wanna see if the wig is good enough.. And then we had to pay for it as well.. 30$ extra... . . I think it's much.. XP
LENSES
I adore the lenses.. <3 Cirle lenses is awesome and creepy at the same time.. These are very nice lenses bought from http://lenscircle.com/ which I can truly recommend! The service is lovely and the product you are getting is perfect. And it takes 4-5 days to arrive.. :)
COSTUME
Okay.. A little for the costume progess.. I really hate the fact to show this picture. XP I admit - I am NOT professional in any way at sewing, and every costume I am making I experience new things and learn new methods.. So pleease don't judge this picture.. It is a progress! Not the finish AT ALL.. XD This is the inner part of the basic costume.. Looong way to go.
I also practically made a bathing suit! MHUAHAHA! Who would have thought?! It took me about 10min to sketch it, cut it and sew it together.. I don't know why I get lucky sometimes, but this was made by eye and fitted at first tempt.. XS It is an inner detail in the costume that she wears.. I was not sure if I should make it (with the thought in mind that I am Scandinavian, whom somehow likes cold weather - I don't particular like much warm, and Japan = is hot XD) But I made it for looks and what I feelt like "more exact" costume. =)
I think that would be it for now. :)
I hope to be a little more active here in the last month with everything, and maybe more detailed progress. :D
See you! Though my stomach is hurting, and my body filled with adrenaline and excitement - I'm really looking forward to experience the WCS in Japan together with the other countries! =D
Hugs from Lilly.. =3
Making cosplays along with studying for exams ain't fun.
I only have two exams this summer, sadly one is over and I failed it..
So because of that huge crack in my self-confidence I've been a bit down lately, and not my cheerful positive person..
But I'm starting to lighting up, and pleased that I only have one exam left.
So when it's done I'll be able to focus on the WCS, 24 / 7!
One of the positive things happening at this moment is that; We are in contact with so many of the other WCS teams..!
Team Australia! Team Germany! Team Finland! Team Spain! Team Mexico! Team USA!
I can't help myself to write you when ever I see the opportunity, because along with my sister, we both are very exited to meet all of you! You all seem like sweet and talk-able people, and have been replying so nicely to us. =)
So thank you all so much for the positive impressions!
As soon as I get the chance of writing any of the other teams, I sure will!
But if not, I'll just look forward to when we all meet in Japan! =D
I think we'll get an awesome time at WCS 2010..!
~ ~ A small update on my Luke Fon Fabre cosplay ~ ~
The wig is home and pre-styled.
I really fell in love with this wig! The colour is really amazing!
I have a soft spot for wigs, I really love them! Specially the styling process!

(I rarely smile with my teeth on pictures, because I dislike them a lot)
! Coloured eye contacts are on their way !
This is a photo I took back when I bought some of the raw material.
3 shades of brown, in 3 different fabric types!
I might change one of them to black. Because this guy and the colours on his costume is freaking changing from game, to anime to art-book. Pfff.. and it's the same piece of clothing...!

Please do contact me or my sister if you have any questions for us.
We would be happy to reply!
Until next time

Hello there
On May the 7th. - 9th - 2010.
Lilly and I went to SvS-con, Herning. At 3 days long Danish convention.
Including the cosplay show with the selection of one persons participation in Euro-Cos, for best craft.
(We did not do a preformance at this convention. Had no time, nor spirit to prepare an act, so we happily watched the show from the crowd
and what a show! There where really so many wonderful acts!)
We brought our almost done " Pandora Hearts" cosplays at this convention.
We did so to see how good they where when worn on a full days basis.
Picture below shows a short sneak peak on the cosplays. ^_^
One of our very good friends cosplayed with us as Gilbert "Raven" Nightray.

( Read more... )
As a review on my Jack Vessalius cosplay, I must say, that I really wasn't too happy about it. =(
So here is the list on what I have to do:
1# My pants where too big, (don't know how that happened..) O.o
2# The back of the jacket failed on me big time, when I had to sow the bottom together.
3# Remake the neck on the shirt (it was way to high)
4# Find new black shoes/slim boots (the ones I used where my D.Gray-Man Lavi boots, and they where too thick for this cos)
5# Thin-out the wig, it was too "lion-like" XD
Yeah it seams like a lot, specially when I thought I was done.. -.-
But luckily I have it all under control and know exactly what to do ^^
~~~~~~~~~~~~
As for Lilly and her The Will Of Abyss:
She was adorable =D
But still she had some things to remake as well.
The outer corsage was a bit to big, so we have to sew it a bit smaller.
The blue roses where too "puffy", so they have to be remade in a new way.
This was a great convention, and it was a very worth-while experience to get the cosplays out for a test-run, so we now are a where of their flaws and virtues.
We have a lot to work on, but still these cosplays are one of the most challenging we both have ever done.
I also have to think very carefully on where to use this for the parade or the "interview".
The place where the convention was set, was in a big gym, with the temp around 27.. And I was feeling extremely hot!
So I talked to last years DCS girls, Ida and Sigge, and they told me NOT to where "Jack" at the parade, because I would must certainly collapse from the intense heat in Japan..
So Lilly and I are heavily discussing on that we might change our plan on which cosplay to use when.
Our SvS-con video is now up on YouTube, so here you can see more of the "Pandora Hearts" cosplays and our weekend at the convention ^^:
If you can even call it an update, when there's never been a post before. XD
Well! Sorry for not uploading anything - at all..
I have been so busy with musical and school - and been really unsure how to do this cosplay.. I must admit that I had this thought constantly in the back of my head: "WCS costumes - gotta be completely perfect and well done." I don't want to disappoint in any way, so I really want it done well!
I have a little now (!little!), and when this weekend is over, your gonna see a fantastic progress! (I hope.. OF COURSE YOU WILL!)
Here's some pictures.. I GOT MY WIG! And my circle lenses, but I don't have a picture of them.. You can see them when the whole thing is done..
The completly inner part! I got a stupid picture of it done.. But it is stupid, and yes.. So you will see it together with the rest.. Only this part just looks wierd..
All the small pieces for the inner corsage.. This is the first time I try making this.. Good thing I get some guidance, or else it would have been a nightmare to figure out for the first time.. (Don't look at weird me.)
Corsage almost done.. Took some time.. So be it. :3 Can't wait to work on tomorrow..
LOOK! THE DOG WANTS TO HELP US! He's hanging out by the sewing case. XD
Le wig has arrived. :3 (It has to be combed in the end.. Sorry.. XD)
I'm really exited of how this will turn out.. :3
See you later! =D
Now it's finally time for the last announcement!
I must tell you this has been so hard to decide for my sister and I, specially with the issue of not cosplaying from a "Shueisha" anime/manga, which we both have the hang of care for the most.
! BUT !
Now we have finally made an agreement,
and so our final cosplays for WCS 2010 will be from:
Lilly will be cosplaying as
- Tear Grants -
and Lupin will be cosplaying as
- Luke Fon Fabre -
We would be delighted to hear what you guys think of our choice. Every sort of comment is approved!
This is an overall view of my Jack Vessalius cosplay (so far).
When I make cosplay I quickly loose the sense of time, and there by my pictures of my progress is few.
But these are the few I managed to force my self to remember to capture.
#1
Making of the small detailed curved pattern, which is sliding down the front peace of the jacket.
I was so trilled to finde some sort of "decorative ribbon" that had a pattern, which I felt suited the cosplay.
I cut them into small pieces, which I attached to the white and black fabric.
#2
After sewing them roughly on with the sewing machine, I had to sew them on by hand.
This felt like forever to do, but it was very nice to just sit down and "hand-sew" for once ^^
#3
And so I had them all attached to both sides.
(Don't mind the "large" look of the white fabric, it's not connected to the inner jacket fabric at this point.)
#4
These pictures show my work with the inner shirts white sleeves.
I have never made something like this before, so it was quite fun to sit and mix together the fabric,
until I got the right folds. As you can imagine, at this point I had already made the base shirt.
I only need the wide sleeves to complete it.
#5
The almost finial result of my black "velour" west.
Had a friend over to help me out with this one.
and so I worked on it for almost a hole night, I even figured out how to make a pocket for the "Pocket Watch"
which the character is connected to ^^
(it looks a bit uneven, but I was working on sewing on the bottoms, so that's the reason.)
#6
So the west is done!
Tried it on with my 90% done shirt, I still need to attach the over sized "cravat" XD
(The pants are done too, though I still need to make some extra touches, before I'm full satisfied)
~ TO BE CONTINUED ~
(someday)
So for now I can tell you that I'm working hard to getting the jacket done
+ making the boot-covers and piecing together the earrings.
Hello there everyone..!
Now it's finally time for a real WCS Team Denmark cosplay update..!
Last week were my "Easter Holidays", and so I had saved all my days for cosplay only!
So in this week I'll be giving you a report with pictures and descriptions on how my cosplay of "Jack Vessalius" is developing.
I had a friend over to help me figure out some parts where I was lost, and so with her brain I could clear my thoughts and finally get a move on with this cosplay!
I'm really starting to see this cosplay in a brighter light, because I have really been twisting and turning my mind on how I should do this cosplay.
Hope you'll look back someday during this week and check for my update =D
I'm really eager to see what you guys will think of my work!
~ AND ~
Very soon we'll be announcing our final cosplays for WCS!
Hello everyone..!
First off;
I'm, on both me and my sisters behalf, so sorry that we haven't been posting so rapidly as we should have done, here on LJ.
So I'm just gonna write you a small post, to inform you that Lilly and I ARE working on our cosplays..! ;)
** BUT **
These past two months has been extremely stressful (January/February).
All with my study, school and as for my sister musical rehearsals..!
But now we are soon gonna be back on track, and finally very soon, get some time to quietly continue on our WCS cosplays.
As you might be aware off, we are currently working on our "PANDORA HEARTS" cosplays.
I have worked a lot on the "outer" jacket for my Jack Vessalius cosplay.
It really made me think of new ways of sewing, which I have never thought of before.
Want it to look good from the inside as well as the out side ^^
I also received my wig at the end of January..! And it is absolutely gorgeous! (or so I think anyway).
All fabrics are home for my part of the cosplay, and so are the different patterns.
Now I only need the time to really focus on making the right choices for how to sew it all.
~ Picture to the right ~
This is primary how my "outer" jacket looks so far. I'm showing it from the back, sens the front is too far from even looking like a jacket XD.
( The hair is NOT my Jack wig, but my own hair)
~ Picture to the left ~
I had to try on the wig as soon as I received it from a seller in China. This is my first long wig! OoO
Luckily it's gonna be in a plait all the time, so I hope it won't be to much of a bother.
I styled it a bit, to put the stroke-lines of Jacks hair. (Yes, it is taken by my phone camera since my sister wasn't home to help me do a propper picture.) XD
Hopefully we'll soon be back, to show you some more "in-progress pictures"
and updates on other parts of our WCS preparations.
